I’d love to give a big shout-out to Havana at Matalan today.
From the moment I approached the self-checkouts, she greeted me with such a warm, open smile—it instantly made the experience feel welcoming and positive. She asked if I’d be paying by cash or card and whether I had a Matalan card. Initially, I declined, but after chatting with her, I decided to ask more.
Havana explained the benefits so clearly and simply, and when I asked how long it would take to sign up, she reassured me it would be quick—just an email address. True to her word, she completed everything swiftly and even showed me how to get it set up on my phone.
What really stood out was her consistency. While helping me, she was also supporting a few other customers, yet she remained calm, collected, and genuinely happy to help everyone. Nothing felt like too much trouble.
In today’s world, that level of service really deserves to be recognised. Havana was friendly, professional, and a fantastic representation of the brand. I walked away thinking, “That was such a positive experience.”
And I have to say—she looked absolutely fabulous too! We even had a little chat about her lashes and nails—so stylish and glam 😊
